About the Court Welcome to Lac Courte Oreilles Tribal Court
The Lac Courte Oreilles Tribal Court is a general civil and criminal jurisdiction at both the trial and appellate levels.
The Lac Courte Oreilles Tribal Court serves the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation and Members of the Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians.
The Ojibwe Law and Order Code was adopted in 1987 by the Tribe. There have been updates and revisions to the code since that time, and the Lac Courte Oreilles Tribal Court enforces the Tribal code.
